Foreword
Subclause 7.2 of Clause 5 of this Standard is compulsory; other clauses
of this Standard are voluntary.
This Standard replaces GB 12955-1991 ?€?General technical conditions for steel
fire door?€? and GB 14101-1993 ?€?Wood fire door - General technical conditions?€?.
Compared with GB 12955-1991 and GB 14101-1993, the major changes are
as follows:
- ADD the content of the classification of fire resistant doorsets according to
material (see 4.1);
- MODIFY the classification of fire resistance of fire resistant doorsets, from
the original A, B, C to fully insulated doorsets (type A), partially insulated
doorsets (type B) and no insulated doorsets (type C) (4.3 in GB 12955-
1991, 4.1 in GB 14101-1993 and 4.4 of this Standard);
- Requirement for the material of fire resistant doorsets is more specific: apart
from non-metallic material, ADD the requirements for combustion
performance and burning flue-gas toxicant (5.1 in GB 12955-1991 and GB
14101-1993 and 5.2 in this Standard);
- DELETE the requirements of wind pressure deformability resistance, air
penetration resistance and rainfall penetration resistance for fire resistant
timber doorsets used as the building exterior door;
- Performance requirements for fireproof locks are more specific (5.1.3 in GB
12955-1991, 5.1.4 in GB 14101-1993 and 5.3.1 of this Standard);
- Performance requirements for fireproof hinges (gemels) are more specific
(5.1.3 and 5.1.4 in GB 12955-1991, 5.1.4 in GB 14101-1993 and 5.3.2 of
this Standard);
- Performance requirements for door-closing devices are more specific (5.1.3
in GB 12955-1991, 5.1.4 in GB 14101-1993 and 5.3.3 of this Standard);
- Performance requirements for fire resistant glass are more specific (5.1.3
in GB 12955-1991, 5.1.3 in GB 14101-1993 and 5.3.7 of this Standard);
- ADD the quality requirements and test methods for the door leaf of fire
resistant doorsets (see 5.5 and 6.6);
- ADD the requirements and test methods for the degree of curvature in the
width direction of the door leaf (see 5.7 and 6.8.3);

and door leaf panel are made of inorganic non-combustible materials other than
steel, flame-retardant wood or flame-retardant wood products or partially made
of steel, flame-retardant wood, and flame-retardant wood products. If the door
leaf is filled with materials, it will be filled with fireproof and heat-insulating
materials that are non-toxic and harmless to the human body. It is equipped
with fire-resistant hardware components.
3.6
fully insulated doorsets
Within a specified period of time, doorsets that meet the requirements for fire
integrity and fire insulation.
