Foreword
This standard has been redrafted and modified in relation to ISO 7628.1. 1998 Road
Vehicles - Thermoplastics Tubing for Air Braking Systems - Part 1. Dimensions and
Marking (English version) and ISO 7628-2. 1998 Road Vehicles - Thermoplastics Tubing
for Air Braking Systems - Part 2. Mounting on Vehicle and Test Methods (including
technical amendment. 1999-03-01) (English version).
This standard is revised according to ISO 7628-1. 1998 and ISO 7628-2. 1998 by
reference to ISO/DIS 7628; 2008.
The following differences have been made with respect to International Standards ISO
7628-1.1998 and ISO 7628-2.1998.
——The standard name is Road Vehicles - Polyamide (PA) Tubing for Air Braking
Systems;
——Two parts of ISO 7628 are combined in this standard;
——Dimensional specification is added;
——Annex D in ISO 7628-2 is described in text of this standard while Annex E is changed
to Annex D;
——This standard only covers PA 11 and PA 12 materials and relevant technical
requirements;
——Ethanol resistance, electrolyte resistance, oil resistance and flame resistance
performance tests on PA materials are added (requirements in 1993 edition are reserved);
——Inspection rules are added;
——Transportation and storage are added.
The following technical changes have been made with respect to the QC/T 80-1993 (the
previous edition).
——Dimensional specification 4×1 is added;
——"This standard is applicable to tubing system with maximum working pressure of
1.25MPa" and burst performance requirements are added;

Tubing for Air Braking Systems
1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimensional specification, performance requirements, test
methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and etc. of
polyamide tubing and tube assemblies for air braking systems of vehicles.
This standard is applicable to the tubing system with maximum working pressure of
1.0Mpa or 1.25MPa.
Applicable working temperature range of the tubing system specified in this standard is
-40~100℃.
This standard is not applicable to polyamide spiral tube assemblies between motor
vehicles and towed vehicles. See QC/T 79 for requirements of spiral tube assemblies.
