General specification for front projector
1 Scope
This Specification specifies the function and performance, test methods, inspection
rules, marks, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. for front projectors.
This Specification applies to front projectors with liquid crystal (LCD), liquid crystal
on silicon (LCoS), and digital optical processing (DLP) projection methods. It is the
main basis for product design, production finalization and inspection. Other projection
methods and front projectors used in different occasions can use this Specification as a
reference.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
3.1 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in SJ/T 11324 as
well as the followings apply.
3.1.1 front projector
A projector that allows users to view projected images normally on the same side as the
projector.
3.1.2 passive standby mode
A low power state in which the projector is connected to mains power and does not
provide primary functionality. The projector can only enter this mode after receiving
external excitation signals such as remote control and buttons. The projector can return
to the working mode from this mode through the excitation of the remote control device,
internal signal, etc.
3.1.3 passive standby power
The active power measured by the projector in passive standby mode.
NOTE: The unit is watts (W).
3.1.4 unit quality
The overall quality of the projector including working lens.
NOTE: The unit is kilograms (kg).
3.1.5 ratio of all white and all black
Under standard working conditions, the ratio of the average illuminance of a full white
field image to a full black field image.
3.2 Abbreviations
The following abbreviations apply to this document.
UQ: Unit Quality.
4 General requirements
4.1 Normal use conditions
Normal use conditions are:
- Ambient temperature: 5°C~ 35°C:
- Relative humidity: 20% ~ 80% (non-condensation state);
- Air pressure: 86 kPa ~ 106 kPa:
- Power supply: AC 176 V~ 240 V, 49 Hz~ 51 Hz.
4.2 Graphical symbols for equipment
Graphical symbols shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 5465.2.
The graphic symbols not defined in GB/T 5465.2 shall be specified by the product
7.1.3.1 Classification for nonconformity
The front projector is divided into safety nonconformity (indicated by the character Z
in Table A.1), type A, type B and type C nonconformity according to the severity of
quality characteristics.
7.1.3.2 Classification for nonconforming products
A unit product with one or more nonconforming items is called a nonconforming
product. According to the nonconforming type, it is divided into safety nonconforming
products, type A nonconforming products, type B nonconforming products, and type C
nonconforming products.
7.1.3.3 Criteria for nonconformity
The criteria for failure are as follows:
a) Requirements for performance at room temperature: According to the provisions
of Annex D.
b) Requirements for appearance, structure: According to A.4 in Annex A.
c) Safety requirements: As long as it does not meet the requirements in 5.8, it will
be judged as safety nonconformity.
d) Requirements for electromagnetic compatibility characteristic limits: According
to the relevant provisions in 5.7.
e) Requirements for environmental adaptability: According to Annex C.
f) Requirements for reliability: According to the relevant provisions in 5.9.
7.1.4 Judgement for conformity and nonconformity
7.1.4.1 Appearance structure
The test results are in accordance with the provisions of A.4 in Annex A. Type Z and
type A nonconforming products are not allowed. The number of nonconforming
products of type B is not more than 3. The number of nonconforming products of type
C is not more than 4. If the above conditions are met, it shall be accepted; otherwise, it
shall be rejected.
7.1.4.2 Performance at room temperature
If the inspection results meet the following two criteria, it shall be accepted; otherwise,
it shall be rejected.
a) The 3 pieces in the first group all pass the test.
b) There are nonconforming products in the first test group. After using the second
group to test, the total number of type A nonconforming products in the two
groups is not more than 1, and the number of type B nonconforming products is
not more than 3.
7.1.4.3 Limits of electromagnetic compatibility characteristics
The number of samples is 3. If there are nonconforming items in the test, it will be
judged as nonconforming.
7.1.4.4 Environmental test
If the inspection results meet the following two criteria, it shall be accepted; otherwise,
it shall be rejected.
a) The 3 pieces in the first group all pass the test.
b) There are nonconforming products in the first test group. After using the second
group to test, the total number of type A nonconforming products in the two
groups is not more than 1, the number of type B nonconforming products is not
more than 3, and the number of type C nonconforming products is not more than
4.
7.1.5 Processing of inspection results
For items that fail the stereotype inspection, the cause shall be found out in time, and
improvement measures shall be proposed. Re-do the test of this failed item and related
items until it is accepted.
If the inspection items are qualified, it will be judged as accepted.
7.2 Delivery inspection
7.2.1 Inspection items
7.2.1.1 Unpacking inspection
Inspection content and methods are according to 5.11 and 6.9.
7.2.1.2 Appearance and structure inspections
Inspection content and methods are according to 5.1 and 6.1.
7.2.1.3 Interface, function and display format inspections
Inspection content and methods are according to 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.2.
7.2.1.4 Inspection for performance at room temperature
7.3.7 Processing of inspection results
7.3.7.1 Accepted batch
Routine inspection is passed.
7.3.7.2 Rejected batch
The rejected batch shall be processed as follows:
a) Products that fail routine inspection shall be suspended for delivery inspection.
The products that have been produced and the products that have been delivered
shall be settled through negotiation between the delivery and receiving parties.
b) The delivery party shall immediately take improvement measures. After
improvement, re-sample from newly produced products. Inspect failed inspection
items and related inspection items. Normal production and inspection can only be
resumed after a qualified conclusion is obtained.
8 Marks, packaging, transportation, storage
8.1 Marks
8.1.1 Marks for front projector body
The name, trademark, model and product number of the manufacturer shall be marked
on the body of the front projector.
The body of the front projector shall be marked with the nature of the power supply,
rated voltage, power frequency, power consumption, and warning users to prevent
electric shock.
The body of the front projector shall be marked with the China Compulsory
Certification (CCC) mark authorized by a nationally recognized certification body.
8.1.2 Packing box mark
The packing box mark shall contain:
Product name, model, name and address of the manufacturer.
a) Trademark name and registered trademark pattern;
b) Production date: year, month, day;
c) Packing quality: the unit is kilogram (kg);
d) Product standard number implemented;
e) Maximum dimensions of the package: l×b×h, in centimeters (cm);
f) Chassis color marking;
g) Marks such as fear of rain, upward, fragile items, and limit of stacking layers shall
comply with the provisions of GB/T 191.
8.2 Packaging
It shall comply with the provisions of SJ/T 10919.
8.3 Transportation
The fully packaged front projector can be transported by land, sea and air transportation.
During the transportation process, it shall be in accordance with the provisions on
packaging marks. Avoid direct raining by snow and rain.
8.4 Storage
The fully packaged front projector shall be stored in a warehouse with an ambient
temperature of -15°C~45°C, a relative humidity not greater than 80%, and no acid,
alkali, other corrosive gases, and pollutants around. The storage period is 1a. Products
exceeding 1a shall be subjected to unpacking inspection. Only after passing the re-
inspection can the product enter the circulation field.
9 Requirements for preparation of product instruction manual
The preparation of the product instruction manual shall meet the requirements of GB
5296.1. The specific content shall be in accordance with the provisions of Annex E.

General specification for front projector
1 Scope
This Specification specifies the function and performance, test methods, inspection
rules, marks, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. for front projectors.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
3.1 Terms and definitions
