Rolling bearing in the railway passenger car and wagon
1 Scope
This standard specifies the code, technical requirements, inspection methods,
inspection rules, manufacturing marks, packaging, storage of rolling bearings in the
railway passenger car and wagon (hereinafter referred to as bearings).
This standard applies to newly manufactured bearings in the railway passenger car and
wagon.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated
documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document;
for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is
applicable to this standard.

4.10.4 The engineering plastic cage shall meet the following requirements:
a) There shall be no structural damage, such as cracks, damage, breakage, etc.
b) There shall be no burrs on any edge in contact with the roller assembly; the height
of the burrs on the non-working surface shall not be greater than 0.2 mm; there
shall be no mechanical damage exceeding 0.3 mm in depth, such as scratches,
bumps and other defects.
c) Fiberglass shall not expose from any surface.
d) There shall be no obvious deformation, weld marks, flow marks.
4.10.5 Type 350000 and SKF197726 bearing cages can only be installed once, on the
inner ring assembly. If the cage is removed from the inner ring assembly, it shall be
discarded and shall not be reused.
4.10.6 The sealing composition of 350000 type and SKF197726 type bearings shall
meet the following requirements:
a) Rubber and metal are vulcanized and formed; the two shall be firmly bonded;
b) There shall be no structural damage, such as cracks, fractures or lack of glue, in
each part of the rubber oil seal;
c) There shall be no air bubbles, impurities, concave-convex defects, on the mating
surface of the rubber oil seal;
d) The working lip shall not have any defects, which are visible to the naked eye;
e) There shall be no rust or scratches on the exposed metal parts;
f) The sealing composition and the inner oil seal and outer oil seal of the 352226X2-
2RZ, 353130X2-2RZ, 353130A bearings are press-fitted by a special mold; they
shall be intact after the press-fit.
4.10.7 The surface roughness of the bearing inner ring's raceway surface, outer ring's
raceway surface, rib, roller's rolling surface, roller ball's base surface shall meet the
requirements of the product drawing.
4.10.8 The inner ring, outer ring, rollers of bearings shall be inspected by magnetic
particle flaw detection.
4.10.9 The outer rings of 350000 and SKF197726 bearings shall be subjected to
ultrasonic flaw detection.
4.11 Expansion of the inner ring
The inner rings of NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1 bearings shall be subjected to expansion
tests. Magnetic particle flaw detection is carried out after the expansion test; there shall
be no cracks.
4.12 Interchangeability
The inner ring and outer assembly of NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1 bearings shall be
completely interchangeable.
4.13 Grease
4.13.1 Bearing grease shall comply with the provisions of TB/T 2548-2011 OR it shall
use the rolling bearing grease, which is approved by the prescribed procedures.
4.13.2 The amount of grease injected into 350000 and SKF197726 bearings is as shown
in Table 11. The 352226X2-2RZ, SKF197726, 353130X2-2RZ, 353130A, 353130B,
353132A, 353132B bearings are greased, through the large end surface of the roller and
the spacer ring of the 2 inner ring assemblies, respectively. The 352220X3-2RS type
bearing grease is injected once from the center spacer.
For each outer oil seal of 352226X2-2RZ, 353130X2-2RZ, 353130A bearings, before
press-fitting, apply 5 g ~ 10 g of lubricating grease to the lip of the inner diameter, the
mass of which is contained in the total amount of grease injected into the bearing.
4.14 Depth from outer ring end face to seal component end face
After the 352226X2-2RZ type, 353130X2-2RZ type, 353130A type, SKF197726 type,
353130B type, 353132A type, 353132B type bearing seal assembly are press-fitted, the
depth from the end faces of the upper and lower outer rings to the end face of the seal
assembly is as shown in Table 12.
4.15 Seal composition gap
After the 353130B type and SKF197726 type bearing seals are press-fitted, the gap
between the upper and lower sides of the seals is as shown in Table 13.
4.16 Cleanliness
The mass of impurities inside NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1 bearings shall not exceed 15
provisions of GB/T 223.
5.2 Non-metallic inclusions
The inspection of non-metallic inclusions, in electroslag remelting high-carbon
chromium bearing steel, shall be carried out, according to the provisions in GB/T 18254.
The inspection of non-metallic inclusions, in electroslag remelting carburized bearing
steel, shall be in accordance with the method A in GB/T 10561-2005. The inspection of
non-metallic inclusions, in vacuum degassed bearing steel, is carried out according to
the method A in ISO 4967:2013.
5.3 Microstructure
The microstructure inspection method of high-carbon chromium bearing steel shall be
carried out, according to the provisions of JB/T 1255-2014. The microstructure
inspection method of carburized bearing steel shall be carried out, according to the
provisions of JB/T 8881-2011.
5.4 Hardness
The inspection method of hardness shall be carried out, according to the provisions of
GB/T 230.1-2009.
5.5 Depth of hardened layer
The inspection of hardened layer depth of 350000 type and SKF197726 type bearing
inner ring and outer ring shall be carried out, according to the provisions of JB/T 8881-
2011.
5.6 Radial play
See Figure 4 for the measurement of the radial play of NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1
bearings. Fix the inner ring of the bearing to be tested on a horizontal platform, so that
the outer ring is in a normal contact state. Align the probe of the measuring instrument
with the middle of the outer diameter surface of the outer ring. Push and pull the outer
ring, in the diameter direction of the bearing. The numerical difference as displayed on
the measuring instrument is the radial play. Take the arithmetic mean of the readings at
different angular positions (approximately uniform, at least 3), as the radial play of the
bearing. The measurement load should not be too large during measurement.
5.11 Appearance and flaw detection
5.11.1 Appearance inspection can be carried out visually.
5.11.2 The surface roughness of the inner ring raceway surface, outer ring raceway
surface, rib, roller rolling surface, roller ball base surface shall be measured, according
to the provisions of JB/T 7051-2006.
5.11.3 The magnetic particle flaw detection of the inner ring, outer ring, roller shall be
carried out, according to the technical documents, which are approved by the prescribed
procedures.
5.11.4 Ultrasonic flaw detection of the outer ring of 350000 and SKF197726 bearings
shall be carried out, according to the technical documents, which are approved by the
prescribed procedures.
5.12 Expansion test
When the inner ring of NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1 bearings is subjected to the
expansion test, use an eccentric press, to quickly squeeze the conical mandrel through
the bearing's inner ring; the diameter of the large end of the conical mandrel shall not
be less than d + 0.0015d (d is the nominal inner diameter of inner ring). Or it can also
be measured by a verified equivalent measurement method.
Necessary safety precautions shall be taken for the expansion test.
5.13 Interchangeability
NJ3226X1 and NJP3226X1 bearing inner rings and outer components are assembled
arbitrarily, to meet the requirements of the radial play of the bearing and the reference
end surface of the inner ring protruding from the reference end surface of the outer ring.
5.14 Bearing grease injection
Use an electronic balance, to weigh the bearing before and after the grease injection.
The difference between the weight before and after the grease injection is the grease
injection of the bearing.
5.15 Depth from outer ring end face to seal component end face
The depth e, from the end face of the outer ring to the end face of the sealing component,
shall be measured at 3 points about 120° apart, as shown in Figure 10.
